On 19th September, EuCIA participated in the Composites in Future Mobility seminar organised by Belgian organisations Skywin, PLASTIWIN, and Agoria.
The seminar at the Aérodrome de Namur brought together industry experts and manufacturers to discuss the future of composite materials in the mobility sector.

The programme featured presentations exploring the use of composites in aerospace and other transport applications from organisations including Renault, Sonaca, Somatex, Feronyl, Haute École Provinciale de Hainaut – Condorcet, Coexpair Dynamics, Comet Traitements SA and Université Catholique de Louvain.
Raphael Pleynet, EuCIA’s Managing Director, presented our insights on the important topic of materials circularity. His presentation EuCIA’s Circularity Roadmap discussed our estimates of the volumes of composites waste generated by different markets, the recycling options for composites, and EuCIA’s position on the new end of life vehicle (ELV) regulation. It concluded with an overview of the actions we have identified as key to advancing composites circularity.
