The annual meeting of the Danish Plastics Federation’s Composite Section takes place on 23rd May. The theme is Next-Gen Composites Recycling.

The event brings together a panel of experts to discuss sustainable solutions for end-of-use composites. EuCIA is pleased to participate in this important debate organised by our member the Danish Plastics Federation.

Recycling solutions

The programme commences with presentations from organisations at the forefront of composites recycling technologies, including MAKEEN Energy, CETEC / Danish Technological Institute, Vestas, and CEMBUREAU / The European Cement Association. EuCIA’s Managing Director, Raphaël Pleynet, will present our perspective on the circularity of composites.

Participants will then engage in a panel discussion. Topics will include the barriers (technical, economic etc.) to the deployment of composites recycling technologies, and the readiness and scalability of different solutions.

Following the debate, the 2024 Danish Composite Award will be presented. This celebrates outstanding thesis projects on composites.

The day concludes with a dinner offering further networking opportunities.

The event is free to attend and open to all composites professionals and students.
