The webinar EOLIAN: A new generation of sustainable wind turbine blades takes place on 11th December.
As communications and dissemination leader for the EOLIAN project, EuCIA is collaborating with project coordinator Proplast to organise this event. The webinar will introduce the project and its mission to develop a new generation of wind turbine blades offering longer lifetime, better maintainability and reliability, together with higher sustainability and recyclability.
Speakers from EOLIAN partners Proplast, Tekniker, Politecnico di Milano, and Norvento Enerxía will discuss new vitrimer composite materials for manufacturing recyclable and repairable blades, technologies to enable structural health monitoring and de-icing, and the potential technical, economic and environmental benefits these EOLIAN innovations will bring to the wind energy industry.
Guest speakers will offer insights from related EU-funded projects BLADE2CIRC and ECORES WIND.
