EuCIA joined its partners in the EU-funded EOLIAN project in Eibar, Spain, on 16-17 June. This M12 General Assembly was hosted by Tekniker.
EOLIAN is developing a new generation of smart, sustainable wind turbine blades based on vitrimer composites. The project is also leveraging in-mould electronics technologies to enable structural health monitoring and de-icing functions. The EOLIAN innovations will offer improvements in blade lifespan, repair and recycling, helping to advance sustainability and circularity in the wind industry.
In EOLIAN, EuCIA joins 9 partners: Proplast (project coordinator), AEP Polymers, Brunel Composites Centre (BCC), Entelea, IRES, Norvento Enerxía, Politecnico di Milano, Tekniker, and Zorlu Energy Group. EuCIA leads Work Package 8: Dissemination and exploitation.
The two-day General Assembly included a Preliminary Design Review meeting, work package updates and planning of future activities. The event also featured a workshop on wind turbine design and operations and maintenance led by Norvento Enerxía and Zorlu Energy Group, as well as a tour of Tekniker’s laboratories.

EuCIA presented an overview of communication and dissemination activities over the past six months, and the results of a gender perception survey conducted in April. This survey aimed to assess how gender equality is perceived and experienced across the 10 EOLIAN partners.
