EuCIA is looking forward to participating in the North American Pultrusion Conference in Chicago on 6-8 May. This event is hosted by the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA), in collaboration with EuCIA member EPTA (European Pultrusion Technology Association).
This is the only North American conference dedicated to the pultrusion industry. It will bring together more than 200 industry leaders, customers, OEMs and suppliers from around the world. This year’s theme is Advancing Structural Design Using Pultrusion Technology. The conference programme covers a variety of technical and business topics, with sessions on Manufacturing, Sustainability, Materials, Markets, Design, and more.
On 7 May, as part of the Sustainability track, EuCIA Board Member, Eric Moussiaux, VP Technology, Exel Composites, will present EuCIA’s latest activities to promote composites circularity.
His presentation EuCIA’s Role in Advancing Sustainability and Circularity in Composites will highlight EuCIA’s efforts in promoting composites as key enablers of the green transition, emphasising long-term carbon footprint reduction and the readiness of closed loop recycling technologies. Pultrusion examples will illustrate these advancements, and new life cycle assessment (LCA) data on open loop recycling into cement will be shared, demonstrating the industry’s progress in sustainable practices.
EPTA will also be represented on the first day, when Dr Elmar Witten, EPTA’s Managing Director, will deliver the presentation European Pultrusion Market Trends: Production Insights, Sustainability, and Recycling Advances. This session provides an in-depth analysis of the European pultrusion market, including current production volumes and industry-specific trends. Attendees will gain insights into evolving processing methods and the growing emphasis on sustainability and recycling within the sector.
The North American Pultrusion Conference also features an exhibition where companies will showcase the latest developments in pultruded composites products, parts, and tools.
