EuCIA was honoured to be invited by the Korea Carbon and Nano Industry Association as a guest speaker at a recent seminar dedicated to carbon composites.
For the event, Raphaël Pleynet, Managing Director of EuCIA, teamed up with Volker Mathes of AVK to deliver a pre-recorded 40-minute presentation highlighting the latest developments in the European composites industry. The session introduced EuCIA’s role, explored key European market trends, and shared insights into the evolving policy and regulatory landscape around sustainability and circularity. In the conclusion, Raphaël explained how EuCIA and the European Circular Composites Alliance (ECCA) are working to shape a more circular future for composite materials in Europe.
Established in 2020, the Korea Carbon and Nano Industry Association (KCANIA) has quickly become an important industry platform, supporting around 70 members in advancing innovation and growth across the carbon and nano sectors.
The seminar brought together an audience of around 80 industry professionals, including representatives from composite material and component manufacturers as well as potential end-user companies in Korea, creating an excellent opportunity for international knowledge exchange.
This invitation followed an initial meeting at the Gathering of Global Associations during JEC World 2026 in March, underlining the value of strengthening connections within the global composites industry.
