EuCIA has created a new membership category of Sectorial Alliances, which will enable more companies to join the association.
EuCIA is an international non-profit organisation headquartered in Brussels. Its core membership consists of national composites industry associations, and sectorial organisations which represent companies active in a specific market segment of the composites industry or a specific composites processing technology. During its Extraordinary General Assembly in July, a modification to EuCIA’s statutes was approved that will open up the association’s membership to more organisations. A new category of members has been created – Sectorial Alliances – which makes it possible for alliances of companies united by a common interest to join EuCIA.
Sectorial Alliances, represented by their chair, can participate in EuCIA’s General Assemblies and Working Groups, alongside National Associations and Sectorial Organisations.
The new statutes were signed by Professor Roberto Frassine, EuCIA’s President, in July, and by the King of Belgium in October.
“EuCIA’s membership continues to grow, but we are increasingly being approached by companies which are not covered by our current membership categories,” states Roberto Frassine. “In today’s challenging business environment, collaboration around shared goals and strengthening the voice of the composites industry at EU level is becoming even more important and we look forward to welcoming new alliance members into our network. We encourage interested parties to contact us for further information.”
