News, ECCA|

In preparation for the publication of the Declaration of the European Circular Composites Alliance (ECCA), EuCIA has been meeting with key stakeholders to discuss the alliance and its objectives.

On 20th May, Professor Roberto Frassine, EuCIA’s President, and Raphaël Pleynet, Managing Director, met with the Executive Committee of European Boating Industry (EBI). Composites are widely used in the boating sector and EuCIA and EBI have been collaborating for many years on initiatives to develop solutions for the management of end-of-life recreational boats.

The next day, 21st May, Roberto Frassine and Raphaël Pleynet met with the Composite Section of EuCIA member Polyvia.

Polyvia represents the plastics and composites industries in France. A key part of its strategy involves supporting its members in adopting circular economy practices.

During these meetings EuCIA presented the mission of the ECCA, its objectives and deliverables, and answered questions. We will continue to promote the new alliance through events and meetings with our members and key stakeholder groups over the coming months. These discussions provide valuable input into plans for the official kick-off meeting of the ECCA later this year.

Organisations can now join the ECCA by completing the form on the EuCIA website at www.eucia.eu/ecca
