EuCIA is excited to be participating in the new Research and Innovation (R&I) Projects programme being launched at JEC World 2025.
This new initiative is designed to showcase the latest advances in composite materials, enabling projects to raise awareness of their objectives, disseminate their results, and connect with industry stakeholders and potential collaborators. This platform at the world’s leading composites exhibition offers a unique opportunity for project partners to reach decision-makers across the global composites value chain, accelerate the impact of their research and drive commercial applications.
The R&I Projects zone is located in Hall 6 and projects will offer presentations during the three days of the show. Through this programme, we will promote the three EU-funded projects where EuCIA leads the communication and dissemination activities.
REFRESH project
EuCIA is organising the participation of the REFRESH project, which will have a strong presence in the R&I Projects zone.
REFRESH is developing a smart, circular concept for recycling composite materials from end-of-service wind turbine blades. The project commenced in January 2023 and is currently prototyping and demonstrating the technologies developed.
REFRESH will exhibit on booth 6D114-03, where representatives from the project’s partners will be available to discuss the latest results. Parts manufactured using recycled materials from blades will be on display.
There will also be two REFRESH presentations at the Open Stage, delivered by project coordinator Daniel Grisenti of RINA Consulting.

We invite you to the REFRESH booth and presentations to learn about the project’s innovations:
– Dismantling, shredding, and sorting technologies;
– Customised recycling processes (mechanical, thermochemical);
– New products incorporating repurposed parts/recycled materials for use in wind energy and other markets;
– A novel blockchain traceability platform covering the whole value chain.
EOLIAN and PLEIADES projects
EuCIA will also be promoting the new EOLIAN and PLEIADES projects.
EOLIAN ꟷ Bio-based, repairable and recyclable vitrimer composites and advanced sensors for highly reliable and sustainable wind blades ꟷ commenced in June 2024.
PLEIADES ꟷ Advancing Aerospace Composites through Induction Welding & New Vitrimeric Formulations Enhanced by Integrated Photonic Sensors, Providing Data to Digital Supply Chain, SHM, Maintenance ꟷ started in January.
