The European Rebar Council (ERC), a new sectorial alliance of EuCIA, has welcomed a significant number of industry leaders.
“The momentum is building across Europe for composite reinforcement,” says Chris Skinner, VP Strategic Marketing & R&D, Owens Corning Composites. “When I accepted the role as Chairperson of the European Rebar Council under EuCIA, I knew we were heading toward an inflexion point, but witnessing this surge of industry commitment firsthand has been a great experience. Companies aren’t just joining, they’re bringing expertise, resources, and a shared vision for fundamentally changing how we approach infrastructure durability.”
“Having worked with ACMA on similar initiatives in North America, I am excited by how industry associations can accelerate material adoption when they bring together the right mix of technical expertise and market influence. We hope that the European Rebar Council will become that catalyst.”
The infrastructure challenges facing Europe – from ageing bridges to coastal resilience – demand materials that perform reliably over many decades. The growing membership of the ERC signals that the industry is getting ready to deliver those solutions.
