EuCIA’s President, Professor Roberto Frassine, discusses circularity in Europe during JEC World 2026.
Roberto met with Cindy Squires, CEO of the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and Jeff Sloan, JEC’s Global Content Advisor and Editor, during JEC World in Paris to record this interview. The discussion explores the approaches to composites sustainability and circularity in Europe and North America and highlights how both organisations are working to support the composites industry’s progress in these areas.
During the event, Roberto explained that EuCIA’s initiatives align with the European Commission’s actions.
“We recently changed our focus from sustainability to circularity, … which is in line with the actions of the Commission. … The Commission was extremely focused in the last 7 years on sustainability, now they are refocusing on competitiveness, on productivity, and circularity of the economy, … which is all part of making what we do in Europe more secure for the industry and the people.”
