From recovery to reuse: building circular composite value chains in aerospace
Tony Seville, Director, AIRA
In this presentation, Tony will share practical insights from years of work recovering and recycling materials from aircraft interiors.
Drawing on his experience developing recycling routes and circular supply chains for metals, plastics and other aircraft-interior materials, Tony will share what it took for his team to create effective circular value chains in the aerospace industry. He will discuss the practical challenges involved, the different players needed across the value chain, and how greater collaboration can help move recovered composite materials into valuable new applications.

How EBI is advancing circularity in recreational boating
Philip Easthill, Secretary General, EBI
Philip will present EBI’s work to advance circularity and sustainability across the recreational boating sector. Drawing on EBI’s longstanding collaboration with EuCIA, he will explore the circularity challenges facing the boating and composites industries, the progress being made, and the importance of cooperation across the value chain.
The session will also spotlight TEcoNaut, an EU-funded project in which EBI is a partner. Philip will explain how the project is helping to identify skills gaps and develop the knowledge and training needed to support the adoption of innovative, more sustainable materials in boatbuilding.
