PLEIADES, an EU-funded project developing advanced composite aerostructures, has published two technical brochures showcasing recent progress in its research and innovation activities.

The first brochure, released in October, introduces the development of passive PIC based multi-sensors – one core activity within the PLEIADES project. It highlights how these sensors can transform aerospace composites manufacturing and contribute directly to the future of aerospace.

The second brochure, published in November, deals with the topic of induction welding, explaining why welding is an important alternative to conventional joining methods and how this technology can make aircraft lighter, more efficient and easier to maintain.

PLEIADES – Advancing Aerospace Composites through Induction Welding and New Vitrimeric Formulations Enhanced by Integrated Photonic Sensors, Providing Data to Digital Supply Chain, SHM, Maintenance – brings together different disciplines and key technologies that will contribute to advancing further composite aerostructures and promote the digital transformation in aviation.

As a project partner, EuCIA is responsible for the lead of Work Packages 12 and 13 – Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication activities.
