JEC World gathers the global composites community together in Paris each year. The event provides an unparalleled opportunity for EuCIA and its members to present their latest initiatives and to network, share knowledge and develop collaborations.

This year, EuCIA will exhibit on booth 6P120. Visitors will be able to find out about EuCIA’s latest initiatives to demonstrate and advance the circularity of composite materials, and learn how to use EuCIA’s Eco Impact Calculator life cycle assessment (LCA) tool. Meetings to discuss the EU-funded REFRESH wind turbine blade recycling project can also be arranged.

EuCIA is also participating in the Gathering of Global Composites Associations on 6th March, and will welcome its members at the EuCIA General Assembly on 7th March.

EuCIA members Assocompositi (Italy), Agoria (Belgium), Polyvia (France), Composites Germany (represented by AVK and Composites United), NCMT (Norway) and Composites UK will also be promoting their country’s composites industry through various initiatives.

Assocompositi is participating in the Italian Pavilion (Booth 5D79) organised in collaboration with ICE ITA Agency. The pavilion this year is organised in four sectors and features a record number of more than 30 exhibitors.

On 5th March (11 am, Events Room, VIP Area) Assocompositi will officially launch JEC Forum Italy 2025, announcing the new location and dates, and on 6th March (10-11:30 am, Agora 5), it is organising the prestigious conference Country on Stage Italy. This session entitled How Italy is Making the Composites Market of Tomorrow: Innovations and Dynamism showcases the Italian composites industry.

Agoria Composites, in partnership with the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency, is hosting the Belgian Pavilion (Hall 6, booths R32-42 and S32-42). The pavilion offers a comprehensive showcase of Belgium’s diverse contributions to the composites industry. It brings together representatives from raw material suppliers, equipment providers, composite part manufacturers, testing equipment specialists, and leaders in recycling technologies. The presence of universities and research centres adds an enriching dimension to this year’s exhibition.

On March 5th (10-11:25 am, Agora 5), Belgium will take centre stage with the Country on Stage Belgium session, sponsored by the Belgian FPS Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation. During this conference, Belgian companies and knowledge centres will share compelling testimonials on ongoing projects and collaborations, illustrating their commitment to forging a sustainable future.

Polyvia is exhibiting on booth 5F97, where Polyvia experts will be available to discuss visitors’ projects.

Polyvia serves as the primary professional organisation representing polymer transformers throughout France. This sector encompasses over 3000 companies, employing approximately 130,000 individuals, predominantly from SMEs. Polyvia provides comprehensive support to its member enterprises across economic, industrial, social, and innovation-related fronts. Polyvia facilitates their transformation to address technological, environmental, and societal imperatives. Additionally, it works on representing and promoting the interests of industry professionals to government authorities, as well as explaining and educating about their professions and strengths.

To enhance representation of industry stakeholders, Polyvia has established market-focused clusters since 2021, covering sectors including Automotive and Mobility, Packaging, Construction, Medical and Health, as well as Composites, gathering more than 180 companies.

The two strong organisations of the German composites industry, AVK – Federation of Reinforced Plastics and Composites United, want to strengthen the German composites industry and research with the Composites Germany trade association, determine joint positions and safeguard overarching interests.

AVK, the professional German association for fibre-reinforced plastics and composites, represents the interests of manufacturers and processors both in Germany and at the European level. Composites United is one of the world’s largest networks for fibre-based multi-material lightweight construction. Both will be available at the Composites United booth (Hall 6, P24+Q24+R24), where visitors can meet association members.

AVK is also inviting visitors to the Trends and Developments in the European Composites Markets presentation on 5th March (1-2 pm, Events Room, 5P142).

NCMT is the Norwegian hub at JEC World. In order for its members to get the best outcome and effect of JEC World, NCMT acts as a catalyst, setting up meetings with important suppliers where it brings along its members so they can get an overview of where the suppliers and the industry are heading. NCMT also gathers its members to a networking dinner during the event.

Another important aspect of NCMT’s JEC World participation is that through forums like the 6th Gathering of Global Composites Associations, and the Sustainability Forum, it builds and extends the Norwegian industry’s international network. NCMT’s relation to other national associations will affect how the Norwegian industry either can learn from other countries or can export their ideas.

Composites UK is organising the UK Pavilion at JEC World 2024 for the third time. The UK Pavilion (Hall 6, booths S62/T62) will house over 20 companies from the UK composites supply chain. Representatives from Composites UK will be available over the course of the exhibition to answer any questions about the association. The pavilion’s annual networking reception, which includes speakers from EuCIA and the National Composites Centre, will be held on 6th March, 2-4 pm, and is open to everyone.
