European Boating Industry (EBI) is organising the webinar Strengthening Skills in New Materials and Entrepreneurship for the Future of European Boat Building.

The EU-funded TEcoNaut project supports the European boating industry in the transition towards more sustainable and innovative practices by focusing on green skills, advanced materials, and entrepreneurship. Through research, training resources, and collaboration between industry and education, TEcoNaut aims to prepare the future workforce for the challenges and opportunities of sustainable boatbuilding.

This webinar on 17th June, 14:00-15:00 CET, will bring together industry stakeholders, education providers, and sustainability experts to discuss the evolving skills needs of the boating sector in the context of the green transition. Participants will discover the main outcomes of the TEcoNaut project, including research on green and deep-tech skills, sustainable materials and innovation trends, the new Entrepreneurship Guide, and the free online training course developed to support the sector.

The session will also explore how sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship can contribute to a more competitive and resilient European boating industry, while encouraging collaboration between industry, education, and policy stakeholders.

EuCIA’s President, Professor Robert Frassine, is a member of the TEcoNaut project’s external advisory board.

EuCIA and EBI have been collaborating for many years on initiatives to advance circularity in composite materials used in boating and other markets.
